The Chinese government announced that sodium hyaluronate (HA) has been approved as a new food raw material, which can be used in general food on Jan 7th, 2021.
The Chinese market has an annual demand of about 150mt of cosmetic grade HA.
After approval, the food grade sodium hyaluronate will be much more demand than cosmetic grade HA in China.
